Michael S. McGuire, M.D., is board certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. He began his practice in Las Cruces in 1996 after obtaining his fellowship training at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. He received a Bachelor of Science at Brown University in Providence, RI, and an M.D. at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. McGuire’s training in orthopedic surgery was completed at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. He has been an orthopedic surgeon for NMSU athletes and local high school athletes.
Dr. McGuire’s orthopedic sports medicine services include: sports medicine, knee replacement surgery, partial knee replacement (unicondylar), treatment of arthritis of the knee (nonoperative), knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery and rotator cuff repairs.
